3D Group Project #1
Test Cube or Die

Objective: TSWBAT work cooperatively in a team utilizing 3D slicing software and the 3D printer to successfully print a 30 mm cube or die.

Task: Your team will print a 30 mm cube or die using FlashPrint software, and summarize the settings used during the print.

Process:
  1. Select print object & download files.
  2. Open in FlashPrint.
  3. Center object to sit flat on the platform.
  4. Scale so that outer dimensions are 30mm x 30mm x 30mm.
  5. Set the extruder to Left Extruder.
  6. Level the Platform on the actual printer (use on-board printer menu)
  7. Print!
  8. Adjust print settings as your group sees fit & record your settings on your Project Print Sheet:
                  -Check the Print When Slice Done box
                  -Select the correct Material Left
                  -Decide if you need Supports or Rafts
                  -Set your resolution to low, standard, or high
                  -Adjust Infill Density and Pattern
                  -Adjust Extruder and Platform Temperature for your material
     9. When ready to print, click OK.

After Printing:
  • Evaluate your finished print.
  • What went well?
  • Were there any errors or problems? Research the possible cause of any problems and a way to resolve the problem for your next print.
